On the final and decisive matchday of the promotion round to the Regionalliga Nord, Eimsbütteler TV hosted Blumenthaler SV. Due to storm damage in Celle, the match was moved at short notice to the Waldstadion of Heeslinger SC. While the situation was excellent for the undefeated Hamburg side, the Bremen champions' promotion dream was still alive after their previous home win against Egestorf-Langreder.
