Food For Political Thought | Owaisi Says 'PM Shouldn't Comment On Food' | India Today Exclusive In this episode of Jaw We Met, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi spoke to India Today TV News Director Rahul Kanwal about Lok Sabha elections, contesting from Hyderabad, the Muslim quota row and on a host of issues. On PM remarks that Congress wants to snatch OBC quotas to give it to Muslims, Asaduddin Owaisi said, "Now the reservation which is being given in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is based on social educational backwardness. It's not based on religion. You know the renowned anthropologist P.S. Krishnan had created the report wherein he listed the caste among the Muslims which will get reservation, the caste which will not get. The Supreme Court had given a stay on it. "So, it is completely wrong for the Prime Minister to say that number one, someone's share has been taken and given to the backward caste among Muslims. And secondly, most important, it's not based on religion. It is based on social educational backwardness and the caste among the Muslims. So the Prime Minister is just trying to create a communal frenzy by saying that. Whereas he had this great opportunity of breaking the 50% reservation limit in Parliament. He didn't do it.
