Hidden Shock Seat Pan - RE Chopper - Part 9
In this episode, I build a custom seat pan from scratch to work with the hidden mountain bike shock we tucked inside the frame in an earlier episode. This isn’t a typical thin seat pan—the sheet metal is intentionally thicker because it’s a structural member and has to carry real load, not just foam and leather. I don’t have a press, brake, or fancy sheet-metal forming tools—just a hammer and some patience—so this one turns into a problem-solving exercise in shaping heavy steel with minimal equipment. The process is improvised, slightly unorthodox, and very much “figure it out as you go.” Watch to see how it plays out and what actually works. Once finished, the seat pan is heading to Dane Utech for upholstery. You can find him on Instagram @plzbeseated. In my opinion, he’s one of the best upholsterers in the world—tell him I sent you. custom motorcycle seat pan, diy seat pan fabrication, custom chopper build, motorcycle sheet metal fabrication, hand-formed seat pan, custom motorcycle frame, hidden suspension motorcycle, mountain bike shock motorcycle, metal shaping with hand tools, diy motorcycle build, custom seat upholstery, plzbeseated upholstery
