True Ghost Story: The Shadow Person Outside the Window

Nick from Los Angeles was getting ready to go out at exactly midnight — he knows because the grandfather clock chimed — when the motion sensor light outside tripped. He and his friend looked up through the blinds at the same moment and saw the shadow of a tall man standing in the yard. They jumped up and went straight to the door. By the time they stepped outside — seconds later — the yard was completely empty. Nobody had scaled the eight-foot iron fence surrounding the property. Nobody was anywhere on the street. Nick doesn't call it a ghost. He just knows what he saw and what he can't explain. Also this episode: Brittany from California was pregnant when things started in the converted garage she shared with her husband. Something would rush up behind her, grab her shoulders, and shake her — hard enough to wake her screaming. Her name whispered in her ear at night. Bloody noses that she and her sister-in-law would get on the same nights, in the same house, without knowing. Contractions strong enough to send her to the hospital repeatedly — that would stop completely the moment she arrived. After her son was born, the house had a new problem. He refuses to look into the kitchen when the light is off. He hides under pillows facing away from it. Then one afternoon he stared into the playroom and started babbling — stopping and waiting between sounds, as though something was responding. His baby sister crawled over and joined in. Their therapist, sitting right there, turned to Brittany and said: "That's weird. He never does that." Carol, Todd and Lisa chime in — and Carol reveals she has seen a shadow person herself and still doesn't know what it was, which is exactly why the question keeps her up.
