Mary’s places the Dormition and the Tomb

“With one heart all these joined constantly in prayer, together with some women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers” (Acts: 1,14). We find the last biblical reference to Mary in the Acts of the Apostles. Apocryphal literature, however, brings to light the final moments of her earthly life. A collection of ancient writings known as the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, or Death of the Virgin, collects the stories of the Assumption of Mary. Events that Jerusalem guards in its stones, in its land and in its different sanctuaries at the places on which the memory of these facts has been handed down. "Take the Virgin Mary this morning and get out of Jerusalem on the road that leads to the beginning of thevalley at the foot of the Mount of Olives. There are three caves there, a large outside one, and a second one inside and an even smaller one inside that one. On the east wall of the latter there is a raised bench, come and lay the Blessed One on that bench” (From B.M. Transitus Virginis) At the foot of the Mount of Olives, not far from the Garden of Gethsemane ... there is the Church of the Assumption, also known as the Tomb of the Virgin. Here, according to tradition, the bench and the cave where the body where the body of the Mother of Jesus were placed ... and from here, Mary was assumed into Heaven.
