Manitobans with flooded homes face 'frustrating' uncertainty over insurance, disaster support
Across Manitoba, leaders of flood-ravaged communities say residents are still trying to figure out what kind of support they can receive from insurance companies and the province. Rebecca Breckman says she was dealt "a huge, devastating loss" after her family's home in Grosse Isle, Man., was flooded by heavy rains last week. "The rain was just non-stop. It was terrifying," she told CBC News on Monday. "Our basement was full of water to the roof, and it had flooded the main floor, and everything's gone."
