Repairs continue a week after flooding washed out Manitoba roads

A cluster of provincial roads in Manitoba are still closed days after overland flooding submerged, eroded and washed out sections of them — leaving damage so extensive repairs might continue in some places for months. "We have never seen anything this bad. This is simply beyond all imagination," Municipality of Swan Valley West Reeve Bill Gade said. A spokesperson for the province said Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure confirmed there were at least 25 road closures on 17 provincial roads and highways due to flooding as of Tuesday afternoon.
