Ex BBC OB Van MCR21 – the 2025 Review of the Year - V2!
In this final video of 2025, Brian provides a broad overview of progress and travels of MCR21 during 2025. He has also highlighted a number of renovation achievements made by members of the MCR21 volunteer team. We are also treated to a fascinating look around MCR21, covering all the areas of the van and the equipment used to bring TV programmes to life. Future plans include renovation of an oscilloscope, plus the vision mixer. No doubt MCR21 will be on the road during 2026 – announcements are normally made via the Newsletters and Facebook. In association with MCR21 and the BTTT – British Television Technology Trust – Brian also described another website – the virtual museum of the Broadcast TV Camera, tvcameramuseum.org. He explained the difficulties of obtaining circuit information of a key camera of MCR21, the Pye Mk 6 – perhaps you can help to obtain this information? If you would like to be supplied with copies of the Newsletters, send your details to Brian or Nick at: [email protected] or [email protected] (Slightly revised version published 19-Dec-2025)
