It’s been almost half a year since I started this modest life in this old apartment. I’m actually quite fond of living here. Although this old apartment has its share of hassles and annoyances, it has a certain charm that you just can’t find in a new condominium. That day, I celebrated Tanabata. There was a bamboo tree in my grandmother’s garden, and we used to hang strips of paper with our wishes written on them from it. In her later years, she used to say she had nothing to wish for. Perhaps she was content (or maybe it was just a hassle for her…). Whenever Tanabata comes around, I think of my grandmother, whom I loved dearly. P.S.
