Wojciech spent his entire professional life working as an electrician in medical facilities in Krakow and the surrounding area. It was honest, necessary work, but publicly funded hospitals were never among the best-paying employers. Today, his pension is around 3,200 złoty. After the deaths of his parents and brother, he found himself in a difficult situation. A few rent arrears were enough to lose his apartment and become one of those experiencing homelessness. He's not alone. He's accompanied by his partner, who faced a similar fate. After losing her home, there was no room for her in his sister's small apartment. They both receive help from organizations that support the poor and homeless. They find their daily meals at Caritas soup kitchens and the St. Padre Pio Aid Society in Krakow, among others. Wojciech doesn't complain. He says he doesn't go hungry and meets many kind people along the way. He lacks only one thing: a small room or a modest studio apartment where he and his partner could spend the autumn of their lives in peace and safety. I invite you to watch the movie.
