The town is very walkable and rewards those willing to explore a little. Dominated by a famous castle and rich in history and traditions. One of the main highlights is Cochem Castle or its called Reichsburg Castle. Very nice castle and great guides! The view from the castle towards Mosel is spectacular! The castle is open from 9 am until 5 pm. Guided tours take place every 15 minutes. You walk up to it and the views are spectacular on a clear day. The beautiful interior that is relatively open to the public on tours compared to other castles in Germany. The view from Cochem Castle is as impressive as the castle itself with the Moselle River and the town of Cochem below. Spread your time in Cochem between the village and the Castle to soak it all up.
