Ist das Ich, das sich verändern möchte, dasselbe Ich, das sich dagegen wehrt? | Dunja Voos & Muho 79

00:00 Do you watch football? Yes, we're world champions! 07:11 Was the expulsion from paradise a good educational measure? 10:53 Mutual development in analysis and Zen 19:15 Can one be spiritually awakened and psychologically immature? 22:37 Do I long for Buddha, or does Buddha long for me? 36:28 Was Freud really afraid of religion, or was he just envious? 45:31 A patient goes to the therapist with one problem and comes back with two – is that possible? 49:50 Individual longevity and the future of the planet 1) Was it actually a good educational measure from God to throw us out of paradise and take away our privileges? So that we would have to figure out for ourselves how to get along well with each other, that not everything is a given, that we have to make decisions and take responsibility. Or is this perhaps less of a disciplinary measure and more of a metaphor for growing up? And was it perhaps even intended and important to taste the forbidden fruit, which, by the way, isn't actually described as an apple in the Bible? I was just philosophizing about this; perhaps you'd like to share your thoughts on it or continue the discussion? Evidence-based facts are welcome, of course; I'm quite flexible! 😄 2) Dunja, what bothers you about the fact that many people talk about parts these days? Or do you simply observe it as a fact? I'd also be interested in Muho's thoughts on the following: The subdivision of the soul begins as early as antiquity, where Plato describes the soul as a triad. And Freud also came up with three instances: the superego, which wrestles with the id, while the ego has to negotiate between these two. Similar or expanded concepts have become increasingly popular in recent decades, even among the general population. Concepts like the Inner Team or the Internal Family Systems model have now found their way into self-help and advice literature. In analysis, one goal is to make transferences conscious, as far as possible, in order to recognize which inner figure (father, mother, teacher, etc.) is currently speaking through oneself. However, when someone talks a lot about parts, I also wonder whether they need to keep these so-called parts at bay and defend themselves against them. I believe that much of it can be correct and helpful. It can be helpful to talk about parts if it corresponds to one's own reality or has an ego-stabilizing function by attributing certain behaviors to a part when they are harmful to oneself. Behind intense anger, hurt feelings or dissociated parts are also forgiven, which can then hopefully be reintegrated into the psyche at some point. Something else that just occurred to me: Every boundary has something illusory about it—we only invent boundaries in our self-model. And even if we take a step upwards in terms of the psyche and no longer speak of multiple parts, but of "I," then we are, in a sense, only describing one part on a higher level, of what we are. When we say "I," we usually mean something very specific, and this generally doesn't extend beyond the physical boundaries: Here I am, and there is the world. And we would also say that it has value to find our way in the duality between "I" and "you," so that we put the spoonful of soup in our own mouth and not in someone else's. And yet, people spontaneously have experiences in meditation, on psychedelics, etc., in which these and other firmly held boundaries dissolve. And then, in retrospect, the absurd situation arises where one claims not to have been present during the experience at all. But everyone knows this experience, even if they only experienced it for a second or two but didn't really pay attention to it... 3) Is the "I" that wants to change the same "I" that resists it? Who seeks liberation when the seeker is the prison itself? Can analysis heal the ego when the ego itself is the structure of the problem? When a person loses their suffering, do they also lose the one who remembered it? When the wound disappears, where does the wounded person go? 4) Has Dunja ever had an analysis with someone who exhibited many narcissistic patterns, and how did that analysis go? Do you think it was successful? 5) Can one overcome fear, or only deal with it differently? ``` Dunja: @dunjavoos1971 Website: https://www.praxis-voos.de/ Blog: https://www.medizin-im-text.de/ Twitter: https://x.com/dunjavoos TikTok:   / drdunjavoos   IG:   / dunja.voos   FB:   / dunja.voos   Donation links: Dunja https://www.paypal.me/dunjavoos Muho https://www.paypal.me/muhonoelke #zen #psychotherapy #psychoanalysis
