Wolfgang Palaver, theologian and Peter Thiel's academic mentor, has examined the religious roots of this thinking. Journalist and author Arnd Henze focuses on the political practice of such ideologies: In his book "With God Against Democracy," he shows how Christian nationalism—especially in the USA—is becoming a threat to democracy and the rule of law.
