MV Alfred Ferry Journey | Isle Of Arran To Troon Crossing

Join me as I sail from the Isle of Arran to Troon aboard the MV Alfred. In this video, I take the ferry from Brodick to Troon with Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac). I show you around the ship and take in the views across the Firth of Clyde during this crossing between Arran and the Scottish mainland. MV Alfred is a high-speed catamaran owned by Pentland Ferries and currently chartered by CalMac. Originally built for services between mainland Scotland and Orkney, the ferry entered service in 2019 and has become a familiar sight on the Arran route in recent years. During the journey, I explore the passenger lounges, outdoor decks, seating areas and unusual open-plan layout onboard the ferry, while also taking a look at Brodick Ferry Terminal and the arrival into Troon Harbour. The Brodick to Troon crossing takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes and offers some fantastic coastal scenery along the way, including views of the Isle of Arran and the Ayrshire coast.
