Yesteryear Book Review | A Timely Thriller About Tradwives & Social Media

In this video, I’m reviewing Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke! This thriller follows Natalie, a social media “tradwife” influencer who constantly shares her seemingly perfect life online — complete with a handsome cowboy husband, obedient children, and a beautiful ranch lifestyle. But when she suddenly wakes up in the past and is forced to actually live the pioneer life she glamorizes online, things quickly spiral. In this review, I’m talking about: 📖 The book’s themes of social media, keeping up appearances, motherhood, and tradwife culture 📖 The realities of pioneer life vs. online aesthetics 📖 Postpartum struggles and parenting choices 📖 The back-and-forth timeline structure 📖 Why parts of the story frustrated me and almost made me DNF 📖 My final rating and recommendation While I thought the concept was incredibly timely and thought-provoking, I did feel like the mystery took a little too long to come together.
