Howard and Jared receive a box of letterpress cuts from a fan in Columbia, Pennsylvania.
If you’ve been following our journey these past few years on social media, you’ll know that the Sacramento History Museum has over 2.5 million followers on TikTok, almost 2 million YouTube subscribers, and approaching one million Facebook followers. Our museum have become internationally known for videos in the print shop exhibit. Social media has connected us with people from all over the world and we sometimes get wonderful gifts from followers. We received a large heavy box in the mail from Brett in Columbia, Pennsylvania. The box contained 109 electrotypes, photo engravings, and halftones that date from the 1940s to the early 1970s. Many of them are labor union related, newspaper cartoons, or newspaper advertisements for a local Philadelphia, Pennsylvania newspaper. Thank you, Brett! And thank you everyone for your support and following our museum and we hope you love our videos as much as we love making them. #philadelphia #pennsylvania #newspaper #history #museum #sacramento #letterpress #printingpress #printing #oldsacramento #sachistorymuseum #asmr #printmaking #printing #printshop
