I road tripped through the night to NSW for RattleTrap 2026.

Jump on board & roll with me for a behind-the-scenes look on how I covered RattleTrap 2026 in Crowdy Head NSW. Three days straight with no sleep, I decided at 8:00 pm on Friday night that I was going to bite the bullet & attend RattleTrap. I packed my camera gear which took 15 minutes & I packed a few clothes which took two minutes, then I was on the road to get my first tank of fuel & head across the border into New South Wales bound for Crowdy Head. With no plans and no accommodation my intention the whole time was to photo shoot the event all day Saturday & then drive through the night Saturday night to be home for Sunday. With the event rained out in the last couple hours of the event & the wet weather sticking around pretty much most Arvo, there was no real point hanging around waiting for a stunning beach sunset as it just wasn’t going to happen. So I hit the road early and headed back for Queensland driving through the night. I don’t for one second condone running three days straight on no sleep & driving all night like I did in this video, I like to think I exercise safe driving practices. However I’ve also have a lot of seat time & hours of training & conditioning doing these kind of road trips & as a photographer that wants to cover the best events capturing the raddest content the country has to offer, it comes with the territory that you have to appear like you are in multiple places at once sometimes. Please Like the video & subscribe so that you can see more of this kind of event coverage, it means a lot to my to have the support from you legends. So thank you 🙏🏻 Dtrain Photography
