Being Careless with a Car

The plaintiff brought his vehicle into the defendant’s shop for work. Unfortunately, the plaintiff claims the defendant left the vehicle outside during a snowstorm, and now it needs new carpeting, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant claims the damage isn’t his fault because the plaintiff didn’t alert him about pre-existing issues with the vehicle.
