Mazar of LAILA MAJNU | Award Winning Documentary

This is an award winning Documentary film on Mazar of LAILA MAJNU the famous Love Legends. It's situated in Binjore village of Anoopgarh Tahsil in Sriganganagar District, hardly 3 Km away from Pakisthan Border. This Documentary is made after a thorough research which lasted for 3 years. Every year a fair is being organized on 15th June. Written & Directed by Rahul Sood, a famous Actor & Film Maker. This is a 20 minutes & 50 seconds Documentary film on the Famous Love Legend of East, Laila & Majnu. My research reveals that the first mention of Laila-Majnu can be traced back to the 7th century Persia. There is a place in India near Pakisthan border which is becoming famous for their mausoleum, its in Sriganganagar town in the north west area of Rajasthan State, an annual fair on 15th June is organized at the shrine to celebrate their enduring love. These graves of Laila-Majnu are visited by Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs & people of all religions denominations. The site is particularly popular with newlyweds who come here to lay a chadar (a sheet of cloth) and seek blessings of Laila and Majnu for lifelong togetherness. The Fair not only symbolizes enduring love but also religious harmony. Laila-Majnu's first reliable identification is attributed to a 12th century Persian poet called Nizami Ganjavi. His poetry was translated to English at the turn of the 19th century by a Jewish scholar Isaac D'Israeli, who then introduced the Laila-Majnu legend to the western audiences.
