Fort Abbas, The Historical city in Cholistan near Pak India Border

Fort Abbas is a town in Bahawalnagar District, Punjab Pakistan. It is situated south of Haroonabad, Near Faqirwali and Khichiwala on the Pak India Border Line. Fortabbas was a small town called Pholra untill 1927 when its name was changed by Nawab of Bahawalpur Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V after his eldest son Nawab Muhammad Abbas khan Abbasi.Nawab Mohammad Abbas Khan Abbasi was the Nawab, and later the Amir of Bahawalpur State. He served as 5th Governor of Punjab from 31 July 1975 until 5 July 1977. Fortabbas is known for Cholistan Desert, Historical Forts and Border Area City. It is home of Hakra Civilization that is some 500BC old .
