NEW Twilight Princess 100% TAS WIP 19

Here is another work in progress for the new Twilight Princess 100% TAS. This was a very interesting dungeon to TAS this time because there are some differences in strategies compared to the old TAS. The first difference is in the second room of the dungeon, where instead of using Long Jump Attacks to get across the gaps, I use the clawshot to get across the first gap with a very precise shot to the vines, followed by a fairly precise jump slash onto the block across the second gap. This saved 21 frames over the LJA's, and since I have to go back through this room 2 more times, it ends up saving a total of 63 frames. In the next room, I take a more direct path to the door by jumping across the blocks instead of just running around the pillar as the old TAS did, saving 7 frames when getting the door. The next room is actually based on a wind cycle, so even though I did save time on individual parts, it didn't end up mattering since I had to wait for the wind to stop before going down to the door for Small Key Skip. Speaking of Small Key Skip, I managed to save 1.37 seconds on the entire skip by doing things like putting on Iron Boots to speed up Link's falling animation on the chest, making fewer boomerang targets for the Jump Strike Moon Boots Long Jump Attack, and skipping the backflip on the door frame to jump to the clawshot target faster. Now we're on to the first new trick in this dungeon relative to the first TAS. Instead of going through the normal series of rooms to get to the Aeralfos room, we can do a glitch called Fishing Rod duping, in which we drop from a set of vines and pull the fishing rod before regrabbing them. Each fishing rod pull is frame-perfect, and we need to do multiple of them. As a result of this, the gate in the next room becomes unloaded, allowing me access to the Aeralfos room much earlier than intended. This saves roughly 39.8 seconds over the old TAS. On the Aeralfos skip, I managed to save 1 frame by doing a very precise L-Slide when clawshotting the target to skip the fight. Going back through the first room, I managed to get good wind RNG before heading into the second room so that it wasn't blowing against Link right before entering the door, saving 1.4 seconds. In the fan skip room, I managed to save 3 frames on climbing up the vine pillar by getting a sideways climb, and an additional 3 frames on Kai Clip by not doing a side hop after climbing up from the vines by the fan, and 1 additional frame after dropping from the clawshot grate by throwing the boomerang before touching the ground, allowing me to move toward the Boss Key chest earlier. When getting the Poe outside, I managed to get it to fall off the platform it was on to the level below, which skipped having to jump down after ripping out its soul, as well as getting an LJA on a nearby Dinalfos, saving 12 frames in total. I didn't save much time in the peahat cycle room, but I did manage to save 1 frame on the jump slash down to the final heart piece chest. Back at the beginning of the dungeon, I got good wind RNG once again, saving another 1.4 seconds. During the fan tower ascent to Argorok, I managed to save 2 frames on the entire tower, and I'm honestly not sure how. The Argorok fight is very interesting; the first phase is no different from the previous TAS, but on the second phase, I managed to save 1.47 seconds on the first cycle by clawshotting to the peahat as early as possible, which allowed me to clawshot to another peahat before Argorok even started breathing fire. On the second cycle, I managed to save just under 17 seconds by drinking the fairy tears right after getting the early roar instead of getting an early roar and waiting for Agorok to shoot another flame. I also managed to save 5 frames on entering the portal with Iron boots. After the dungeon, I go to Faron Woods to get both the Heart Piece and Poe in the purple mist area, but instead of going to Castle Town right after that, I warp to the Mirror Chamber and enter the Palace of Twilight instead. The old TAS went to castle town primarily to get great spin, and also to finish off some minigames, golden bug exchanging, and buying the Magic Armor, but since I already have all the hidden skills, there is no reason to go back to Castle Town until the end of the run, where we can combine all of that into one trip on the way to Hyrule Castle. I will be uploading 1 more WIP for this TAS, which will be the entirety of Palace of Twilight. There will be no more WIP's being uploaded here after that.
