The BIG BUDDHA Hong Kong

We went and visited the Big Buddha on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. Getting there meant catching the train and walking to the Cable car. The wait for the ride was definitely worth it with a picturesque ride over of the water, and a view Hong Kongs Chek Lap Kok airport dwarfing it's surroundings. The Ngong Ping Village is a beautiful quaint little purpose built village designed for tourists as they pass through on their way up to the stairs to the Buddha. After the Journey to the top you will be abound with beautiful views of the surrounding ocean and quint homes near the Po Lin Monastery. After we took in the delights of the Buddha, we made our way down and across the the beautif monastery. Adorned by peace and tranquility we made our way through its beautiful interior to the absolutely stunning room completely adorned in gold with gold gods and places to pray. Soo spiritual, no photography was allowed although you could see in from outside. We saw real Monks living around the Monastery along with ponds containing large Koi.
