Turkey Trip 2024 with Expedition Vehicle Part 1: Arrival via Italy and Greece In this first part of our trip, we'll take you on our journey to the Turkish border. We first drove through Switzerland to Italy. There, we took nine days to get to the ferry to Bari. First, we went to Tuscany, with the beautiful towns of Lucca, Siena, Monteriggioni, and Lucignano. Then, we spent two days in Rome, which was unfortunately still completely overcrowded at that time. Our final Italian trip, our three days in beautiful Matera, was much more relaxing. We took two weeks for Greece. After a short rest at Kerentza Beach, we headed into the mountains with the Katara Pass, the Meteora monasteries, and Lake Zazari. We then reached Chalkidiki, where we spent a wonderful time at Chelona Beach, in Kriaritsi, and finally in Ierrisos. After two more beautiful beach stops, we finally reached Alexandroupolis, our last stop in Greece.
