My journey began in Bulawayo, where a policewoman stopped me unexpectedly. From there, I embarked on a rugged road, one of the most challenging I've traveled in Zimbabwe. In the heart of this remote region, I encountered a group of gold prospectors who explained their simple methods of extracting gold. They even gave me a gold-bearing rock! Was it real gold? During the journey, I met schoolchildren who gathered around my small bicycle. It was a journey filled with laughter, photos, and beautiful memories. Then, a generous Zimbabwean family hosted me, and I spent an unforgettable night with them. We prepared a meal together, I tasted their traditional dish, Sadza, and learned about their customs and traditions, especially the marriage and dowry requirements among the Ndebele tribe, which surprised me greatly. During the most difficult part of the journey, when I needed water, I was surprised when a truck driver offered me a bottle – a truly remarkable act of Zimbabwean generosity. At the end of this adventure, I arrived in Harare after a journey filled with unforgettable moments and stories.
