ABC Model of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
The ABC model of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) explains why you think the things you think, why you feel the way you feel, and why you do the things you do. When we learn to use the ABC model, we can begin to intervene and take control of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT is an approach to psychotherapy where an individual learns to recognize their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how they all relate to one another. The ABC model is at the core of the CBT theory. This video gives an overview of how to use the ABC model while providing examples.
