"Young man had promise": Former PM Harper talks about Carney at unveiling of his portrait

Former prime minister Stephen Harper returned to the halls of Parliament as his official portrait as Canada's 22nd prime minister was unveiled Tuesday. Prime Minister Mark Carney was in Ottawa and introduced Harper, thanking the former prime minister for his "remarkable service to our country and for the legacy upon which we are now built." Harper returned the gratitude and spoke about viewing Mark Carney's "interesting resume" in 2007. "I remember thinking the young man had promise," he said. Mark Carney was the governor of the Bank of Canada under Harper and Saturday's ceremony marked 20 years since he became prime minister in 2006.
