宜春位于中国江西省西北部，地处赣江支流袁河流域，东接南昌，西邻湖南，是连接江西与中部地区的重要节点城市。全市地形以山地、丘陵为主，森林覆盖率较高，自然生态环境优良，因此也被称为“生态宜春”。 宜春历史悠久，建城已有两千多年，古称“袁州”。自汉代设郡以来，一直是赣西地区重要的政治、经济与文化中心。唐宋时期文风鼎盛，书院文化兴盛，是江西古代文化的重要发源地之一。 在人文方面，宜春孕育了丰富的诗词文化与书院传统，同时也是禅宗文化的重要传播地区之一。现代宜春在保持生态优势的同时，逐步发展为以新能源、装备制造和生态旅游为特色的城市。 🇬🇧 English Introduction Yichun is located in the northwestern part of Jiangxi Province, China, along the Yuan River basin, a tributary of the Gan River. It borders Nanchang to the east and Hunan Province to the west, serving as an important regional hub connecting Jiangxi with central China. The city is characterized by mountains and hills, with a high forest coverage rate and a well-preserved natural environment. Because of its rich ecology, Yichun is often referred to as an “eco-friendly city” in Jiangxi. With a history of more than 2,000 years, Yichun was historically known as “Yuanzhou.” Since its establishment as a prefecture during the Han Dynasty, it has long been an important political, economic, and cultural center in western Jiangxi. During the Tang and Song dynasties, the region flourished culturally, especially in literature and academy (shuyuan) traditions, making it a significant birthplace of Jiangxi’s classical scholarly culture. Culturally, Yichun is known for its poetic heritage, academy traditions, and its connection to Zen (Chan) Buddhism. In modern times, while preserving its ecological identity, the city has developed industries such as new energy, equipment manufacturing, and eco-tourism.
