A civil engineer and architect, he holds a Ph.D. in materials engineering and a master's degree in economics and business idea development. He is currently CEO and founder of Isinnova, a research center and ideas incubator based in Brescia. He was awarded the title of Cavaliere al Merito della Repubblica by President Sergio Mattarella "for having distinguished himself in community service during the Coronavirus emergency" by designing the "Easy Covid 19," a snorkeling mask converted into a respirator.
