3rd Alarm Fire with RIT Activation, Palmerton, Pa - 2.22.21

Palmerton, Carbon County- Firefighters from 3 counties battled this stubborn 3 alarm fire for hours during a steady snow fall Monday. Crews kept attempting interior operations only to be pushed back letting ladder pipes knock down the flames. One firefighter was removed from the building by stokes basket after an incident inside the building which forces the RIT team to go in service to extricate him, once removed he was transported to an area hospital for treatment. No civilian injuries that we are aware of and the fire is under investigation....
