Hi, I’m Liao. In this video, I’m sharing my real experience of going to a hospital in China. Recently, I haven’t been feeling very well, so I went to the hospital for a check-up. I thought this would be a good chance to show what the process is like in China — from making an appointment, checking in, and paying through self-service machines, to seeing the doctor and arranging further tests. I also wanted to share the actual cost of this visit and how medical insurance works for many working people in China. For many ordinary families, social insurance may not feel very noticeable in daily life, but when it comes to seeing a doctor, buying medicine, or doing medical tests, it can really help reduce part of the financial burden.
