Most HAUNTED Murder House in America | LIZZIE BORDEN

“Lizzie Borden took an axe, And gave her mother forty whacks; When she saw what she had done, She gave her father forty-one.” 🪓 Lizzie Borden was born in 1860 in Fall River, Massachusetts, and became one of the most notorious figures in American crime history. On August 4, 1892, her father, Andrew Borden, and stepmother, Abby Borden, were found brutally murdered in their home. Both were killed with a hatchet-like weapon. Lizzie, then 32 years old, was accused of the murders. The case shocked the nation because she was from a respectable, upper-class family and a Sunday school teacher. She definitely wasn’t someone society expected to commit such a violent act. During the trial in 1893, there was no physical evidence directly linking her to the crime. The hatchet found in the basement couldn’t be proven to be the murder weapon, and Lizzie gave inconsistent statements. Still, the prosecution painted her as cold and resentful toward her father and stepmother. Despite public suspicion, the jury acquitted her, and she lived the rest of her life in Fall River, ostracized but wealthy. She died in 1927. What are your thoughts? Do you think she could’ve committed such a violent crime?? #paranormal #hauntedhistory #haunted #murdermystery #truecrime #hauntedraven
