UK RAILTOURS East Anglian Freighter 27/4/25 with 20007, 20205 & 37403

An excellent day out riding The East Anglian Freighter organised by UK RAILTOURS. We got off to a late start at Chelmsford thanks to overnight vandalism of signalling equipment and headed up the Great Eastern Mainline to Ipswich where we joined the East Suffolk Line to Lowestoft. From Lowestoft we travelled to Felixstowe via the Wensum Curve in Norwich and Bacon Curve at Ipswich before ending up in Felixstowe Creek Sidings. After a reversal into Felixstowe station we started the journey back south via Bacon Curve again to Claydon and reversing again to head south on the GEML. We used Up goods loops in Colchester, Marks Tey and Witham to let service trains passed. We ended the day seeing the lively departure from Chelmsford.
