This Brazilian City Completely Surprised Me | São Carlos 4K

Today I explore São Carlos, a city in São Paulo State that completely caught me by surprise. What started as a simple walk around the city centre turned into a journey through coffee barons, Italian immigration, historic architecture, railways and the story of how São Carlos became known as Brazil's Capital of Technology. From the impressive cathedral and the mansion of the Count of Pinhal to one of the most beautiful railway stations I've seen in Brazil, this city kept revealing new surprises around every corner. After five months travelling across South America, it takes a lot for a city to stand out. São Carlos managed exactly that.
