16 accused in Medicare24 SAPS tender in court for bail application

Twelve senior police officers, including generals, are expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates Court today, 25 March 2026 in connection with the multi-million Rand Medicare24 SAPS contract. Alleged cartel member, Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala was the Company owner. The NPA'S Investigating Directorate, IDAC, effected the arrests last night (24 March 2026), which included one of the company directors.
