O batismo de Jesus - Texto: Lucas 3:21-22

“When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened²² and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; "In you I am well pleased." Luke 3:21-22 The account of Jesus' baptism is extremely relevant. Along with the account of his death and resurrection, the baptism account is the only one recorded by all four evangelists (Mt 3:13-17; Mk 1:9-11; Lk 3:21, 22; Jn 1:29-34). The baptism was such a significant event that all the evangelists spoke of it. But what is the relevance of Jesus' baptism? We know the relevance of Jesus' death, after all, without it we would not be saved. We know the relevance of the resurrection. But ultimately, what is the relevance of baptism? Why is it important? Why did Jesus have to be baptized? What does Jesus' baptism represent? And why is it important to us?
