We explore her seminal polemic against reformism, her perilous return to the 1905 revolution, her major work on capital accumulation and imperialism, and her solitary struggle against war beginning in 1914. This narrative also focuses on the human being behind the legend: the woman who studied botany, observed birds from her cell, and wept at the suffering of an abused animal, all while maintaining unwavering resolve. Finally, we shed light on her nuanced critique of the Russian Revolution, her famous defense of the freedom of those who think differently, and the tragic circumstances of her death in Berlin in January 1919.
