The Céide Fields, County Mayo Ireland.
We visit the Ceide Fields - located close to the town of Killalla in north County Mayo. What a unique experience! Farming walls going back 5,000 years have been excavated on this site - giving us a glimpse into our farming past. The centre has a number of very useful exhibits, but the best part is that archaeological guides will take you into the excavated fields and explain how the fields were first discovered and just how they may have been used. Well worth a visit!
