Day 14: AC Installation, Ceiling Insulation & Solar Planning

Day 14 of the 411 Kitchen Design Mobile Showroom conversion was focused on installing and testing the air-conditioning system, continuing the electrical planning, and preparing the ceiling. In this video, I go over the AC installation, test the unit, and explain some of the electrical work needed to power everything inside the van. Having reliable air conditioning is essential because this mobile kitchen showroom is being built for South Florida, where controlling the heat and keeping the interior comfortable is extremely important. I also continued covering the roof and ceiling area with insulation. After completing that section, I began installing the plywood that will support the finished ceiling planks. This gives the ceiling a strong foundation and prepares it for the decorative finish that will be added later. Another important decision was adding a refrigerator to the mobile showroom so we can offer cold water to customers during their appointments. Because the refrigerator needs to remain cold even when the van is parked, I decided to add a solar panel system to help maintain power without depending completely on the vehicle. Every decision—from the AC and electrical system to the solar panel, refrigerator, ceiling insulation, and plywood—is helping transform this van into a comfortable and professional kitchen showroom on wheels.
