In this session, we addressed the implementation of community mental health programs in Ecuador. https://ecuador.unir.net/gestion-sani... Together with mental health experts, we analyzed the new mental health law, which emphasizes the importance of early detection, prevention, and referral of cases of anxiety and depression. We also discussed the skills required by these changes and the professional growth opportunities offered by official master's programs, which you can access with the scholarships we are launching at UNIR in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and the IESS (Ecuadorian Social Security Institute). Our panelists included María Sosa, Director of Medical Education at the Julio Endara Specialty Hospital of the Ministry of Public Health; Estefanía Andrade, clinical psychologist and coordinator of Rehabilitation and Therapy in Mental Health at the Ministry of Public Health; and Hilario Blasco-Fontecilla, Medical Director of Emooti and co-founder of Haglaia Solutions.
