Hello! This is Aya from "Mountain Walking." Thank you for watching!★ This time, I climbed Mount Bandai in Fukushima Prefecture. In winter, the most common route is the "Urabandai Route," which starts at Urabandai Ski Resort. Access to the ski resort is difficult. While there is a bus from Inawashiro Station, it requires a transfer. Even the earliest bus would only get you to the ski resort at 9:40 AM, so it might be possible to make it just in time. But I didn't have much time. I wanted to get an early start in case something unexpected happened, so I stayed the night before at Urabandai Lake Resort, which is just within walking distance of the ski resort, and got off to an early start! Across from Urabandai Lake Resort is Urabandai Kogen Hotel. Beyond these two houses is a forest road, and there's nothing to see between them and the ski resort! Even though it's within walking distance, it's only about 30 minutes. Whether it's far or close depends on the individual. It wasn't a problem for me! Looking back at Lake Hibara, a beautiful sight dyed a deep red from the slopes before the lifts began operating. The views from there continued to Mt. Bandai. This mountain offered views even more spectacular than the altitude would suggest. I hope this video will be of some help to you on your next mountain hike.
