This wasn't just any junkyard—it covered roughly 70 acres and contained thousands of classic cars, trucks, campers, and automotive treasures dating back decades. I first share footage I recorded several years ago, showing what the yard looked like before disaster struck. Then I take you along as I follow the path of the wildfire, tracing where it started near Interstate 84 and how strong Idaho winds carried it across miles of countryside before it reached the wrecking yard. The damage is heartbreaking. Reports indicate that as many as 85% of the vehicles were destroyed, leaving melted metal, burned-out shells, and shattered dreams behind. Among the lost vehicles may have been a car that once belonged to my father, making this story even more personal. Join me as I walk through the aftermath, documenting the destruction, searching for signs of surviving classics, and reflecting on the history that was lost in just a few short hours.
