The inn's design is based on the concept of "weaving," inspired by Toyooka Willow Weaving, a traditional Hyogo craft. The name "Yuamu" is said to be a combination of "bathing" (湯浴み), meaning therapeutic bathing, and "weaving" (網む). Descending the slope next to the main entrance leads to Yakushi-yu hot spring, and Arayu and Yumechiyo-kan are also within walking distance, making it a convenient location for leisurely sightseeing. After checking in and before going to my room, I was served a welcome drink and sweets in the lobby lounge. The character for "dream" (夢) was displayed on the mountainside visible from the front window. The "Dream Characters" displayed in Kiyomasa Park are said to express a "welcome" feeling, representing the four seasons through changes in color. They are lit for 5 minutes every 20 minutes from 30 minutes after sunset until 10 PM. I stayed in a superior room with a private open-air hot spring bath. Yumura Onsen is a historic hot spring resort that opened during the Heian period. The source, Arayu, is said to be one of Japan's hottest hot springs, with water gushing out at 98 degrees Celsius. Because the natural hot spring water is so hot, I added cold water to adjust the temperature before bathing.
