A full-fledged band performance | The Non-Violinist Project & Abhay Jodhpurkar | TEDxSriSairamIT

With the recent emergence of Carnatic infused music genres in the city, 'The Non-Violinist project' band has established its identity among them. Proficient musicians like Shravan Shridhar(violin), Kumaran (drums), Naveen Samson Benjamin (guitars), Marshall Robinson (keys and synths), and Sooraj Kumar (bass) led to the current line-up for this band. The members of ‘The NonViolinist Project’ come from different musical upbringings and experiences, which has given the band its unique identity with dubstep rhythms and western instrumentation. Shridhar describes his band as - “It’s just five friends from five different worlds, coming together to make music.” With the recent emergence of Carnatic infused music genres in the city, 'The Non-Violinist project' band has established its identity among them. Abhay Jodhpurkar, the embodiment of versatility in singing, has been in the music industry for more than six years. His journey began when he was accepted in the musical maestro AR Rahman’s school - KM Music Conservatory.Born to a middle-class family in a small town called Sendhwa (District- Barwani) in Madhya Pradesh, he grew up with a rich musical background. Growing up, he had been fascinated by various art forms – music, dance, architecture and sports.
