S4:E1 - New Hip and New Trout!

Good day folks. It’s taken a while but finally a video. Alfred and I have been busy ‘seeing’ some big fish and he even caught a huge brown which he videoed with his phone. It the last short and we want that fish again but this time for a feature! Was a tad worried about today as last night it rained heavily. Water could be unapproachable because of volume but you don’t know until you get there! So get there. And another possible omen at 5:15 am as I ordered a raisin/cinnamon bagel double toasted with plain cream cheese plus a medium coffee as I was going to need some food on the way up, not just cashews and munchies! Got back to the house to wait for Alfred. Opened package and bagel had no cream cheese! I was the only guy in line at 5:15! I thought oh my goodness, that has to be a bad start. But then glad I looked before and not 25 minutes into the drive! Waited for Alfred’s arrival then went back to get my cream cheese! The opening scene lasted 24 seconds as the fish was fast and powerful. I did not see it until it jumped near Alfred. We both said we’d be back and today, 3 days later, we went searching for the biggie. Never found it but it was a great day of good browns and smaller browns and specks. 3 days ago the mosquitoes were in the billions. Today, because it was very cold, very few of them although we did add a little musk oil. So this will be a short video of the fish, all sizes that we caught. It was simply great to be back at the water, 7 weeks after a new hip and glad Alfred was there to pick me up literally or I’d probably still be kneeling, waiting for an Uber. Big browns are certainly on the horizon as Alfred and I have been ‘finned’ numerous times this year! All we want is a photo op. It will happen. Thanks for watching. And Alfred, thanks for the editing as that’s not my forte. At 79, I’m finding my fortes, diminishing! Having fun though. Cheers BTG and Alfred
