Ashtabandhana Maha Kumbabhishekam at TVS Nagar Kothanda Ram Temple in Madurai, Palanganatham: Madurai. The Ashtabandhana Maha Kumbabhishekam ceremony was held with great pomp at the Madurai TVS family-owned Arulmigu Kothanda Ram Temple located in TVS Nagar area near Palanganatham in Madurai district. In view of this Kumbabhishekam ceremony, the Yagasalai Puja began on June 22. While various Vedic mantras and special pujas were performed, the Kadam containing the holy water that was worshipped from the Yagasalai took off towards the temple with the sound of drums. As planned, the Ashtabandhana Maha Kumbabhishekam was held between 9.57 am and 10.17 am with the sound of drums and the chanting of Vedic mantras by the priests. The Kumbabhishekam was performed by pouring holy water on the main deity, Kothanda Rama Swamy, Vinayaka, Muruga, Anjaneya, Durga Amman, Krishna and the Navagraha deities. The holy water that was kept on the Yagya Salai and worshipped was then sprinkled on the devotees. A large number of devotees from various parts of Madurai participated in the Kumbabhishekam ceremony and received the blessings of the deity due to the participation of a large number of public. The ceremony was held with great spiritual enthusiasm.
