The Hotel Caribe in Cartagena de Indias is one of the city's most iconic hotels. Founded in 1945, it's a great option for lodging in the beautiful city of Cartagena. The hotel is located in the Bocagrande neighborhood, and I'm going to tell you all about staying at this hotel, so stick around until the end of the video because I won't leave out a single detail. I stayed during peak season, and the cost per night for four people—two adults and two children—was $980,000 COP, or approximately USD 200. My reservation included a buffet breakfast. It's important to note that the price per night drops considerably during the off-season. The hotel is a five-star establishment with beautiful colonial architecture. The staff is excellent, and it has swimming pools, a jacuzzi, playgrounds, and beautifully maintained green spaces. The hotel is 15 minutes from Cartagena's historic center, the city's main tourist attraction, and I encourage you to check out my Top 10 Cartagena and Top 10 Walled City videos on my channel; you won't want to miss them. Now, I'll show you the room I was assigned and the view from it. As you can see, the room is spacious and comfortable. The restaurants and breakfast buffet are good. You can have breakfast in an air-conditioned lounge or outdoors by the pool. At breakfast, you'll find a variety of breads, cereals, cheeses, hams, hot and cold drinks, coastal fried snacks, and other Colombian dishes. For me, the breakfast was good, but there's room for improvement. Also, because it was peak season, it was a bit difficult to find an empty table. The hotel was really full. One of the things that impressed me about the hotel was its beautiful green spaces; it's a hotel that loves nature. There's an area in the hotel where families and children can interact with some animal species. If you're coming to Cartagena de Indias, this hotel is a great option.
