It's a 4-star hotel, and I decided to stay there while making the videos you've seen about the beautiful city of Cartagena. The first thing I want to tell you is that I made my reservation through the Despegar website, which is the one I usually use for tickets and hotels. When I made the reservation, the price the platform showed me was $1,187,000 (approximately $250 USD) plus taxes per night. However, upon checking in, I had a brief argument with the employee, as this rate varied by approximately $600,000 (or $130 USD), and she emphasized that this had to do with the fluctuating dollar. I didn't fully understand her explanation, as I hadn't made any reservations from abroad or in dollars, and it seemed incredible to me to have to pay $600,000 pesos more. However, after respectfully expressing my dissatisfaction, she charged me the VAT and hotel taxes, and I checked in. It's worth noting, my dear wandering travelers, that you can always encounter problems like these on your trips, and my best recommendation is to present your complaints with respect and convincing arguments. The Dann Hotel in Cartagena is well located, has a pool, and direct access to the best beaches in Bocagrande, those called the Hollywood sector. However, I want to emphasize that Cartagena's beaches aren't exactly the best, and if you want to see truly beautiful beaches, I recommend going to the Rosario Islands. I'll show you the hotel room now. I stayed with my wife and two children, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The view from the hotel is also interesting, as you can see the ocean or the many buildings in the Laguito neighborhood. Another thing you might want to know is how my food was. Our rate included a buffet breakfast, and it was very, very good. Even better than the one at the last hotel I videoed for you at, the Hotel Caribe in Cartagena. At the hotel's breakfast buffet, you'll find a variety of eggs, hams, cheeses, fried coastal foods, and cereals. Finally, to the question, would you return to this hotel? My answer is yes. I highly recommend it. Perhaps the only negative point was the slight price discrepancy at check-in. However, my rating for this hotel is 8 out of 10 stars.
