Pitt @ West Virginia 9/13/25 The Backyard Brawl - Fan Experience -WVU wins in OT 31-24 Mountaineers

The University of Pittsburgh Panthers traveled an hour down I-79 to take on the West Virginia University Mountaineers for an ACC vs. Big 12 football game named the Backyard Brawl in Morgantown, WV. WVU held a 7-3 lead at halftime. West Virginia extended the lead to 14-3 in the 3rd quarter before Pitt put up 21 unanswered points. WVU kicked a FG with 5 minutes remaining, made a defensive stop, and then had a hurry up drive of 2:36 ending in a game tying TD with only 11 seconds remaining. The Mountaineers had the ball first in overtime and scored a TD to go up 31-24. Pitt was unable to score on their following possession. West Virginia won The Backyard Brawl 2025 .
