AI for Development Professionals | Compassion Rwanda Cohorts 2 & 3 – Day 1 Training

Welcome to Day 1 of the AI Training for Compassion Rwanda Professionals Cohorts 2 & 3, facilitated by Data+ Rwanda. In this session, participants were introduced to the foundations of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including its history, practical applications, benefits, and limitations in the workplace. The training also covered Prompt Engineering using the CRTF (Context, Role, Task, Format) framework, enabling participants to interact more effectively with AI tools. In addition, we explored leading generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot, discussing their strengths and use cases in development work. Participants were also introduced to Canva AI for creating presentations and visual content, as well as an overview of KoboToolbox for digital data collection and survey management. This training aims to equip Compassion Rwanda professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to responsibly leverage AI to improve productivity, communication, reporting, and decision-making in their daily work.
