Sometimes, to find peace, you have to leave behind what no longer fulfills you. Today we decided to leave our little "burned-out" refuge and hit the road once again. 🚐💨 The journey wasn't easy: potholes, narrow 4x4 tracks, and that "I wish the earth would swallow me up" moment when you realize you've lost cell service at the worst possible time. But as we always say, effort has its reward. 🏔️✨ We ended up in Valdelinares, in the highest municipality in Spain, discovering a solitary hermitage that gifted us the silence we so desperately sought. We also celebrated with a homemade asparagus omelet and priceless views. 🥘😋 Living in the Spiti Islands is this: uncertainty, incredible landscapes, and learning to appreciate the inhospitable.
